Job Description:
As (Jr.) Business Controller you will support the management team in improving business performance by providing reliable financial reports, analysis, and strategic advice. You will play a key role in translating data into actionable insights that contribute to strategic decision making. Additionally, you will lead the European data platform initiative and act as a BI specialist, automating data extraction, enrichment, and presentation from systems such as self-service portals, apps, process automation (RPA), and ERP systems. You will directly report to the CFO.
Your responsibilities
Financial analysis and reporting
- Prepare and maintain management reports and KPI’s.
- Analyze financial results, budgets, forecasts and variances.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial summaries for management.
Cost Control
- Analyze cost structures and propose cost-saving measures.
- Implement control mechanisms to keep costs within set parameters.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Coordinate the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasts.
- Evaluate and challenge budget proposals from various departments.
- Monitor budget performance and identify variances.
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Optimize financial systems and processes to increase efficiency.
Business Partnering
- Act as a business partner to various departments.
- Actively participate in cross-functional projects and contribute to the organization’s success.
Strategic Planning
- Support management in strategic decision-making through financial analysis and scenario planning.
- Identify opportunities and risks that could impact the organization’s financial health.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal guidelines.
- Support audits and ensure timely and accurate delivery of required documentation.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, Accountancy, or a related field.
Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a medium to large organization
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills and experience with financial modeling.
- Excellent knowledge of IT systems (Power BI, MS Excel, Netsuite and Hubspot).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations (IFRS).
