Modern Dental Group (MDG) is headquartered in Hong Kong and is a manufacturer and distributor of innovative dental technical solutions such as crowns, bridges, aligners, and prosthetics. The largest production lab of MDG is located in China, where over 5,000 dental technicians manufacture more than a million custom solutions annually.
From its European headquarters in Alphen aan den Rijn, Modern Dental Europe operates as a distributor in 13 countries under the labels Permadental in Germany, Labocast in France, and Elysee in the Netherlands, Denmark, and Belgium, among others.

In line with our growth and digital ambitions, Modern Dental Europe is looking for a Manager Technology Europe to drive our technology strategies across Europe.
What will you do?
As a Manager Technology Europe, you are responsible for shaping, implementing, and managing the overall technology strategy of Modern Dental Europe. You lead the European Business Technology (“BT”) and Information Technology (“IT”) organization and focus on reliability, security, and innovation. Your mission: to ensure that systems, data, and infrastructure seamlessly support our operations, laboratories, and commercial teams.
You will oversee the modernization and harmonization of our technology landscape, including ERP, infrastructure, integrations, and data platforms, and ensure alignment with global systems. You collaborate closely with country managers, departments, and group BT and IT in Hong Kong/China.
You combine strategic vision with a hands-on approach. You identify future technological needs, manage budgets and vendors, and ensure that our IT environment meets the business requirements of today and tomorrow.
The position is based at our European headquarters in Alphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands, with occasional travel across our European offices. You will lead a European technology team of approximately 8–10 FTE, including automation engineers, business analysts and local IT infrastructure and support specialists. You will be reporting to our CFO Europe.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop technology strategies that align with both Modern Dental Group’s corporate and business objectives, balancing vision, risk and measurable success.
- Translate strategic concepts into actionable operational measures, leveraging agile, experimental and traditional approaches to execute innovation effectively.
- Navigate the complexities of global innovation, creating cutting-edge ecosystem strategies and establishing fruitful inter-firm collaborations.
- Drive innovation by defining challenges, designing solutions, refining user experiences and employing agile experimentation for impactful implementation.
- Shape a culture to embrace complexity, empower innovative leadership and drive high-performance teams through fair and motivating practices.
- Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders to translate needs into technology solutions.
- Oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERP systems, and data architecture.
- Drive standardization and harmonization across countries and functions.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, privacy, NIS2 and other (quality) standards.
What do we ask from you?
- University degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Administration;
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, including leadership in a multinational or complex organizational environment;
- Proven track record in IT strategy, infrastructure, and digital transformation;
- Experience with ERP and CRM systems, cloud environments, Low-Code Application Development, and No-Code integrations;
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate in an international matrix organization;
- Strategic, decisive, and able to balance long-term vision with operational reliability;
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written. Dutch, French and/ or German is a plus;
