To elevate our digital marketing strategy and deliver seamless, high-converting user experiences, we are seeking a Senior Web Developer to lead the evolution of our web presence and digital ecosystem. This role will be instrumental in shaping our online engagement, ensuring our brand stands out in a competitive market while maximizing conversion opportunities.
What will you do?
As a Senior Web Developer, you will be responsible for managing and developing our websites, ensuring to provide an optimal experience for both customers and internal teams. Based at our European headquarters in Alphen aan den Rijn, you will work closely with marketing and IT teams across Europe to enhance functionality, security, and performance. This position includes the flexibility of working from home for up to 2 days per week, with 3 days in our office to facilitate collaboration.
Your tasks will include:
• Managing and improving the architecture and integration of our websites to ensure an intuitive and seamless user experience.
• Overseeing and extending our WordPress Multi-Site integration, maintaining core functions, plugins, themes, and third-party interfaces.
• Optimizing web pages for SEO and managing SEM campaigns to boost visibility and traffic.
• Ensuring website security and GDPR compliance, implementing data protection measures and consent management strategies.
• Supporting local teams across Europe with their websites (strategy, sales, and marketing needs).
• Monitoring and analyzing website performance using Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Looker Studio, ensuring data-driven improvements.
• Working closely with the marketing team to align digital marketing strategies with business goals.
• Managing content updates to ensure websites remain relevant, engaging, and up to date.
• Staying ahead of web technology trends, implementing innovative solutions where possible.
What do we ask from you?
• Residence in the Netherlands is required for this position.
• Proven experience as a Web Developer or Webmaster, with a strong focus on WordPress Multi-Site integration.
• Strong knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and experience with back-end technologies (PHP, REST, GraphQL).
• Experience with SEO, SEM, and data analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, SEMrush, etc.).
• Knowledge of consent management platforms (Cookiebot) and GDPR compliance strategies.
• Experience with Continuous Integration Pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to web development.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in an international, fast-paced environment.
• Strong command of English (spoken and written), Dutch is a plus.
